I’m sure you’ve noted that coffee has entered the list 3 times and kissing and cuddling only once. This is because coffee is freely available and the only thing you have to worry about is whether you’re going to have latte or Americano! I love watching serial killer / murder documentaries but I’ve been told not to! I used to love cooking and that would’ve made the list a few years ago. Unfortunately being single there is little interest in cooking up a steak or crispy baked potato. I used to enjoy a lot of things that I no longer take part in! I suppose as you grow older your interests and priorities change. I used to take some small pride in my flat but now it’s in a helluva state. I keep telling myself that I’ll clear it up a little bit each day but procrastinate and end up walking away and doing something else. I’m too embarrassed to get a cleaner in. My bed has become a horizontal wardrobe and I continue to sleep on the couch. I’m 6.2 and my couch is about 5.6. Luckily my feet don’t get too cold and I can’t fall asleep unless I’m watching the tv.

Film work has dried right up!! Apart from the indie films I’ve done there’s been little to do on the big blockbusters. House of the Dragon has been given the go ahead for season 2 so I’m hoping I’ll get asked back on that end of the summer. For those of you waiting it’s out end of August. I’m also in The Nevers ( second half of season 2 ) which is out end of the year. I’ve been on telly in Why didn’t they ask Evans? and I’m also in a history documentary but not sure when that’ll be broadcast. The engineers that built America is out but they cut every single one of my four lines!! I was gutted as I was hoping to add it to my showreel. The last thing I did will hopefully appear on Amazon Prime so fingers crossed! No idea when tho!

Mentally I’m doing ok. I look forward to learning new things at my WAVES course. I enjoy going to Bury every second Wednesday as the meeting house I go to is a few doors down from a wonderful coffee shop called Midgar. Man…… the Guinness chocolate cake is the best cake ever!! Last time I was there I ate one portion with my coffee and took a piece home with the intention of eating it the next day. Obviously it didn’t last the night. We spend the morning learning different aspects of EUPD and in the afternoon we quite often paint or listen to music. The first piece of music I had them play was MacKays Memoirs by Martyn Bennet. I wish I hadn’t as it had a few people in tears! It’s a wonderful experience sharing your problems and experiences with others, you don’t feel so alone and isolated. I often feel like an imposter, listening to the terrible things my peers have suffered. Then I remember that I too have had a terrible time.

I’ve been revisiting my earlier blogs which make for interesting reading. They certainly highlight how bad I was, how close I had come to disappearing. I’m very proud of what I’ve achieved. I’m very happy that I did start to write this blog. It just shows how far I’ve come in a short space of time. 2 years is a blink of an eye in the grand scheme of things. If it takes another 2 years then so be it!

I’m 55 on the 25th of this month….. 55!!! I can’t quite believe it myself, not once did I ever think I’d get this old. I wish I could’ve stayed at the age of 40. I was in my prime then physically. Now look at me. I’m fighting a losing battle against gravity and hair. I mean who the fuck wants hair sprouting from their ears and nostrils. It’s a constant job keeping it all tamed. Losing hair on my head and gaining it elsewhere, it seems so bloody unfair! And gravity working on the dangling bits of your anatomy, your nose and ears continue to grow I’m sure and your scrotum is in danger of being stood on or played with by the cat. I tuck them into my football socks for safety.

That’s 2 blog entries in one day dear readers! Does this one say much to help you? Probably not but I can’t be expected to be a font of good sense and knowledge every day you know. I suppose what it does show is that I’m feeling rather good today. I’m feeling chatty and have no one to chat to. I’m feeling cuddly ( and looking it) and with no one to cuddle. I feel like having a coffee but have run out ( god help me!) I’m watching Dads Army atm and I’m going to try and watch Always Sunny in Philadelphia which I wholeheartedly recommend! To end here is my top ten comedy programs;

1. IT Crowd

2. Father Ted

3. Always Sunny

4. Peep show

5. Friday Night Dinner

6. This country

7. Red Dwarf

8. League of Gentlemen
