It’s been a while!

Well what an interesting few months I've had! I've started acting classes and it's been a very powerful and positive experience! I'm slowly learning the craft of acting and feel like I'm getting substantially better than my untrained 'winging' it style! I've just sent off 2 self tapes and I have seriously upgraded my filming set up. I've gone from resting my camera against a book, curtains and a table lamp to professional backdrop, LED lights and external mic. It really makes an immense difference to the overall effect. Gone are the days of in person auditions. Self tapes are the way to go and not only are you acting on self tapes you are also blocking, framing lighting directing and editing! It gives you a great opportunity to really represent yourself at your best and I love the whole process.


I only train 2 hours a week in class. The rest of the time I'm studying via books and YouTube. I'm starting to get some famous stuff in my head. I'm starting with MacBeths famous Tomorrow soliloquy. What incredibly powerful imagery he uses!!


Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow,

Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,

To the last syllable of recorded time;

And all our yesterdays have lighted fools

The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle!

Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player,

That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,

And then is heard no more. It is a tale

Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,

Signifying nothing.


It doesn't really get any better than that!!
