Music to soothe …..

Back to the small pipes! Whenever I feel my mental health failing it’s to music I turn, principally to the music of my ancestors.

There are undoubted huge benefits to listening to music but playing an instrument really takes you out of it, at least for a while.

Playing a tune that’s at least 400 years old, that your ancestors would have listened to is something very special. Not only do the mechanics of playing zone you out but you can actually travel in time!! Isn’t that amazing!

Anyway I’m learning 2 great tunes atm and I’ll leave it up to one of my favourite pipers Brigdhe Chaimbeul to show you how they should sound!!
