I still come here occasionally when the mood takes me., when I think someone will listen to a song or read what I've got to say. Long past has my crisis been and I continue to go on, slightly different, more aware of people and my own failings. I still have lots to say but I'm often too busy to come here and write!

I'm currently on an archaeological dig in Suffolk at the moment. We are looking for a USAAF B17 that crashed in 1944. It's a real honour and a privilege to be part of the project and it's something close to my heart. Living and growing up in Suffolk I have been constantly surrounded by the old airfields that housed thousands of brave young American men and women. It became a great interest to me and I had dozens of books on the Mighty 8th. My uncle Chris and myself used to visit airfields for the dances and history. I just love the era, the fashion, music and of course the war.

Today I visited the museum of the Bloody Hundredth, at Thorpe Abbots in Norfolk. It's a fantastic place and I spent about 3.5 hours there talking to the very friendly and knowledgeable volunteers who dedicate themselves to keeping the memory of the 8th alive.
