It’s not about beating myself up or comparing my experiences with others. It’s about taking ownership, taking control of what’s wrong with me. It brings me some form of peace to be able to say sorry. Being diagnosed is immensely empowering when you would think the opposite were true.

We are all broken in one way or another, so no need to apologise.
