It’s all over!

Well filming is over on Lovebirds and Ladyloves. The last day was particularly exhausting. It’s a difficult and upsetting scene to act out, especially when you’ve been on the receiving end of physical abuse. We had an intimacy coach on set which was amazingly helpful. As you’ll see I’m an untrained actor, but this scene really brought how how tough it is, both mentally and physically to bring a script to life. We practised using different techniques for 2 hours. The actual shooting we did it about 10 times. I sincerely hope it shows the true nature of the scene and that if you’re see the film you believe it to be real. Everyone on set seemed happy with it and were quite wrapped up in the scene. The film will be ready to go on the film festival circuit in October, with my other film Love at Last sight ready in September.

My walk on for the bbc was disappointing. Normally a walk on would get a line or two but this time I waited all day…. 9 hours in fact to be in a scene that took 5 minutes to film!! I think it will look great anyway and it was great fun being involved. Look out for A Festival of Slaps!

Didn’t get the Horrible History job so was absolutely gutted. I’ve been a huge fan as well as my kids. I’m filming for 5 days on a new Amazon spy thriller and playing one of the bad guys! I’m going to audition for the part of a drink alcoholic father today via a self tape.

So things are still happening and I keep thinking about the past and the what ifs. I need to go back on one of my pills I know although I was hoping to stop as it made me pile on the weight. But I need to keep fit mentally first! I’m going to join the gym and get on my bike as soon as it stops raining! I’m playing my small pipes as much as I can and I’m getting slowly better! Things are generally on the up and I intend on things staying that way. On the way back from shopping got caught in the rain and got soaked….. it reminds me of the time R and me were laughing at people caught in the rain when we were driving through Attleborough….. only to be caught out ourselves later on. We ran down the street laughing our heads off as we got absolutely drenched. We did laugh a lot.
