Ho Ho Ho part 3

Writer's picture: DougDoug

So I’m off for a 7 day run as Santa at The Epping and Ongar railway in Essex. It’s all sold out so if you were hoping to sit on my knee you’ll have to message me for a private visit!

So many wonderful memories all ready. A few stand out. One little boy about the age of 5 saw me from about 50 yards. He shouted Santa and sprinted towards me then grabbed hold of my legs. The look of happiness on his parents faces was amazing…Another little girl has been coming for years. She had a cleft palette and hair lip and was so terribly sad looking. This year after some obvious extensive work she managed to smile at me when I said I remembered her from last year. I nearly broke down. What a privilege to share such moments! There’s been lots of cheeky kids but they all believe! I’ve invented the Dummy dump! It’s where parents hand over their kids dummies to Santa in exchange for a present!! Works a treat! I have my naughty or Nice book and magic keys and oh it’s such good fun!!!!

I‘ll try and keep a diary every day but it’s exhausting work being jolly for 10 hours!! Merry Christmas and God bless us everyone!
