A brilliant still from @katherinehillphotography on set. It was the strangest sensation, looking into a mirror and talking about life and suicide. In that moment I’m Doug Grant acting the part of a confident actor and seeing the real me reflected back, speaking words that could have been mine. I have spent my entire life acting. Pretending to be confident, funny, calm and everything I ever wanted to be. I feel fractured. All the good bits of me seldom meet at the same time, leading me to be seen as one dimensional. I just want to be ‘normal’ to lead a life acceptable to me and others that know me. #acting #onset #actor #russian #suicideprevention #eupd #bpd #andysm

You are your normal Doug. Don't make the mistake of thinking that everyone else around you is something special. We all have problems mentally and physically, what really, is normal. Even at my age I question myself every day, why did I do that, say that , what should I really be doing. I'm still not sure of anything in life. We all take a different path, rightly or wrongly. In my honest opinion I think a large percentage of the population needs help, especially in these times. We have all made mistakes, hurt those we love, allowed ourselves to feel hurt where none was intended.
You ARE special, because you're you and because of that, you are loved and…
We are all actors, acting out our shows. Some shows end, but yours goes on, which proves that you are a damn good actor. Don't belittle yourself into thinking you're not worthy, coz you are.
