One of my favourite films, certainly my favourite musical. Sondheims best I think and the casting just absolutely spot on. Sascha Baron Cohen almost steals the show but Depp just edges it! Thoroughly recommend it. The song tells of the love of Mrs Lovett for Sweeney Todd and her desire to be married to him. Unfortunately it’s not what Mr Todd wants. He’s seeking revenge, he’s lost in hate, depression and darkness.
